Some 8 months into the pandemic many companies are still adjusting to a new working model. CCMA and IDA are delighted to be joined on this webinar by a host of industry experts to consider and discuss employer obligations in a remote working environment. 

Our panel and the topics for the discussion will be:

  • Catherine O’Flynn – Partner, Head of Employment & Benefits at William Fry - Employment Law obligations of remote working, including time-recording, risks if working in a foreign country and stress claims.
  • Nuala Clayton – Partner, Employment & Benefits at William Fry - Health & Safety considerations and obligations of remote working.
  • Daryl Hanberry – Partner, Tax and Technology, Media & Telecommunications at Deloitte - Overview of the Tax & compliance considerations when employees work from home in foreign jurisdiction.
  • Orla Stafford – Human Capital Senior Manager at Deloitte - A perspective on our new approach to work and leadership: managing the engagement and well-being of remote teams.

About the Speakers

Catherine O'Flynn is a partner and Head of the Employment and Benefits team in William Fry and Chairperson of the Employment & Equality Law Committee of the Law Society.  She is one of the Diversity & Inclusion partners in William Fry and is involved in the Mentoring programme in William Fry.

Nuala Clayton is a Partner on the Employment and Benefits team in William Fry.  She is a committee member of both the Employment Law Association of Ireland and the Health and Safety Lawyers' Association of Ireland.  Nuala advises domestic and international employers across the public and private sectors.  Her particular specialism is employment litigation.  She also advises on the regulatory obligations for employers in the context of health and safety law.   

Daryl Hanberry is a Partner in Deloitte’s tax department and is the Head of the Global Employer Services team in Ireland. Daryl also leads Deloitte Ireland’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications industry group. Daryl predominately deals with the provision of tax services to US multinationals, Irish plcs and large corporates across a broad range of industries, including technology, manufacturing, and consumer business sectors.

Orla Stafford is a Senior Manager in Deloitte’s Human Capital team and has over 20 years’ experience as a Change Consultant, Executive Coach and HR professional working with businesses within Ireland, the UK and across a variety of industries. Orla has significant experience in leading the design and delivery of innovative, large scale organisational change and talent programmes.
